I passed your concern about the Burlington letterbox on to David Irving, DEP Forester responsible for the forest (and for placing the box). He does plan to go out and look for it sometime soon.
Oddly enough, I'll be in Burlington tomorrow morning, at Sessions Woods (the DEP Wildlife facility off of Route 69, for a talk starting at 9:30 am.
Let me know how the search turns out. Dave thought maybe the box (and the rock) might have got buried in the snow.
